About Stellidar
Stellidar is a nautical chartplotter for Android and Windows, built around a simple idea: at sea the connection disappears, and the instruments have to keep working anyway.
What it does
Vector nautical charts downloaded per area and rendered on the device, multi-model weather with an hour-by-hour timeline, weather routing for sail or motor, AIS traffic with CPA alarms, and a logbook that records voyages on its own.
The safety features — the anchor watch above all — run natively on the device, so they keep watch and sound the alarm even with the screen locked.
Offline first
Charts, weather and routes are stored and computed on board, on your device. Nothing needs a connection once the data has been downloaded, and your position never leaves the device.
It is a design choice before it is a feature: an instrument you rely on at sea cannot depend on cell coverage.
An independent project
Stellidar is developed independently, without a company behind it. There are no accounts, no advertising and no tracking: the app does not collect data about you.
